In May 2024, Philadelphia City Council honored Freeway by declaring June 1 “Philadelphia Freeway Day.”
Inspired by the recognition, Freeway partnered with Council President Kenyatta Johnson to bring his vision for Free Fest to life. Now in its third year, Free Fest is a free Philadelphia community festival that connects residents to resources, culture, health and wellness services, local businesses, and family-friendly entertainment.
Together, Freedom Thinkers Inc. and Council President Johnson remain committed to creating meaningful opportunities for community engagement, empowerment, and celebration.
